The power in my house went out and since then my heater and airconditioner won't work.
I have an amana ams8 furnace and an omega airconditioner. During a recent storm the power in the house went out and came back on but neither unit will turn on. I have checked the breaker and it is fine. Is there a reset button and if so where is it?

Check at your panel across the mains to see if you have 240 reinstated or maybe just 120 volts. You could still be missing one leg and aonly getting have the voltage. If that turns out to be the case call your power company. It might be wise to call them right now and lodge a complaint that when their power failed it may have damaged your home.

Doubt this is the problem or he would be having trouble with other stuff in the house.

Most everything in your home is 120 volts. An electric furnace, A/C, electric water heater and clothes dryer are the few 240 appliances, do any of them work? Do all of your 120 volts outlets and lights work?

My 99 Saturn has had some starting problems in the past. It would sometimes not start but if you let it sit from anywhere from 45 minutes to 24 hours, it would eventually start. Or, after having Dad look at it, we could tap the starter and it would work. So we thought it was the starter. I...
