Is leukemia a possibility with multiple blood disorders?
I have several different blood disorders and I was wondering if it were just a coincidence or if they could all be caused by leukemia. I am anemic, have tested positive for hla b27 (a white blood cell disorder), and have three different blood clotting disorders including factor V leiden. I have found all of this out since last Feb. after I lost my son at four and a half months pregnant. This past year has been horrible and I just wish I had some answers.

I do have a family history of all types of cancer including leukemia.

I have some symptoms but they could be from all types of things.

I have had a bad headache for over a week. The other day I could see my heart beating in my chest. I have been very weak and tired. I have some rash on my arms chest and back. I am bruising very easily and have some purple/red spots near the bruises on my thighs. I am always hot. My back is in a lot of pain. And I have absolutely no appetite and that's not really ever an issue with me haha.

To be completely honest part of me hopes it is leukemia so at least I know what's going on and I can have hope for a pain free future. Well that is aside from all the boo boos I get from being a clutz. I know hoping for cancer sounds crazy but I'm sure I will be so relieved when I find out what is causing all of this so I can start treating the cause instead of the symptoms.

Anyway, any insight would be amazing. I'm only 22 and to feel like this all the time is so depressing.

    Thank you!

I don't think anyone other then a doctor can answer your question safely. I wouldn't want to hazard a guess and I don't think any other medical professional here would want to either. Do you have the resources to visit a doctor and have complete blood work done to determine this; I think there are some specific tests to diagnose leukemia.

There are very specific tests to diagnose leukemia, however, you will have to visit a doctor for that. Get a referral from your PCP.

I wonder though, since you are bruising easily, if you could have a blood disorder called ITP (Ideopathithrombocytopenia Purpura). It might be a good idea to have this checked as well.
