    How to get the nut over the tailpiece on the sink
    I have been replacing the "basket" on my kitchen sink and all was fine until I got to the "replace the nut over the tailpiece on the sink" the old on came off and the new on that came with the new basket does not want to slip over the lip on the tailpiece, the instructions in the package do not say how to get the new one on any suggestions, please, thanks

    The nut that goes over the tail piece and connects to the basket strainer slips over the bottom of the tail piece first. You have to remove it from the trap or what ever it is going into.
