I have an older Huskee, 15.5hp. It will not start. Replaced the battery and will not start. I hear a 'click' from under the seat, but can not locate it. Please help.

The clicking noise is the solenoid.
Make sure your engine will turn freely if so.probably needs a solenoid.

The clicking sound comes from under the seat area and behind. It was working fine when I turned it off. I saw NO solenoid or such in the are of the sound. Could there be a cutoff switch that stops the motor from starting?? Please Help

Not that would make a clicking sound if you where sitting on it there should be a panel that has two screws holding it down.if you remove this you will see the solenoid did you check the engine and see if you could turn it by hand.

I have removed the panel, but see no solenoid. Will check more later. This mower has a kill switch somewhere that will shut the mower off if it is running and you get off and will prevent it from starting when you are not sitting in the seat. Since I have removed the new battery and the sound is there, I am guessing that the kill switch is bad or malfunctioning. Also, I was using the mower and it ran fine. Turned it off to fill up the sprayer and it would not turn over. Any help of the switches, would be appreciated. Thank You.
