    Exhaust piping corrosion
My furnace exhaust corrodes in the area I can see in the garage. I replace the rusted pieces every other year or so and I' getting tired of it. I there some other material I can use like stainless or PVC?
    Thanks,

There IS a special type of PVC that can be (and is very frequently nowadays) used for furnace exhaust.

There may, though, be codes in your area that you need to be aware of.

I suggest you get an estimate (most reputable HVAC people will do a free estimate) for solving the issue... and after you get one or two of them, then decide (based on what they tell you they'd do) if it's something that you want to do on your own with the parts from your local hardware store.

The reason for the corrosion is probably to low of a flue temperature allowing the flue gas to condense in the pipe. This liquid/vapor condensate will corrode metal pipe.
