My 1999 honda accord won't start.
I just changed the plugs, wires, rotor, pcv valve, air filter. Before I changed all this, it was running rough with the check engine light on. When trying to start it now, it turns over erratically.

    . Check for codes.

. Replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil, if the CEL comes on and goes off after two seconds, when the ignition switch is turned to ON (Position II):

Hey Monkey. Happy Easter. Sorry to crash your thread, but couldn't figure how to contact you directly after joining. 99 Accord V-6 LX. No engine troubles ever except an idle control valve failure; but that symptom was revving from 700 to 2500 rpm uncontrollably. Just last month at 181000 miles it sputtered after start at a stop light. Trending from 800 down to about 300 rpm. Went away. Then today after driving in 80 degrees with A/C on for half an hour I parked it. Tried to restart it twenty minutes later and it sputtered to a halt three straight times until I started it in neutral and gave it some gas. 2000 miles on a brand new cat but no check engine or O2 sensor problems. Any thoughts?

Marcofan, try replacing the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil:

If the problem persists, replace the distributor housing (genuine Honda only). Install the new ICM in the new distributor housing.

Thanks GreaseMonkey. Out of curiosity, do you think the ignition switch itself could be a problem? Dealer refused to do the following recall for me years ago because of an after market radio wired into the ignition: 1999 Honda Accord ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION:SWITCH Recall at Automotive.com

I don't believe, at this point, that the ignition switch is a problem.
