Florida-can home/car be taken away in judgement?
I was involved in an auto accident while making a left turn, and my car, which was hit, was totaled. The officer on the scene did not give me a citation. The other party has retained an attorney. If their settlement exceeds my policy limits, can my home or car be taken away from me? I live in Florida.

    Hello lorraine:

Chill! This isn't a chat site. You just have to wait until somebody comes along and answers your question.

Your home is safe from seizure. That's why OJ lived there. They might get your car, though. But, there a lot going to happen before a settlement is reached. Hopefully, you didn't hurt somebody badly.

If you get sued, your insurance company will defend you.
