    Craftsman riding lawnmower stuck in 5th speed.
    Craftsman riding lawnmower: not sure of the model. It is 7 yrs. Old, a 17.5 hp.
    As I was using it last season it seemed to get more difficult to shift. Using it for the first time this season, the shifting lever would not come out of 5th speed, (where I must have left it last season).

We replaced the battery on the lawnmower and it still won't start. There is a click when we turn the key but that is it. We ran a jumper cable from starter to battery but then nothing. When we removed the jumper, click but not start. Any suggestions?:confused:
