    Craftsman Riding Lawnmower won't start
We replaced the battery on the lawnmower and it still won't start. There is a click when we turn the key but that is it. We ran a jumper cable from starter to battery but then nothing. When we removed the jumper, click but not start. Any suggestions?

    Hi,
The click should be from the solenoid, but since you tried to jump directly to the starter, and assuming you did this from the "+" side of the battery; you are describing a bad ground. I personally think your description may not be inclusive enough, or provide enough accurate info, but that is the conclusion to your description. Check to see if the battery terminals are clean and tight, and the engine mount bolts are tight.
    Peace,

Thanks Clarke! We replaced the solenoid and we just needed to jump the battery. Hopefully this has fixed the problem. I appreciate your help!

Craftsman Riding Lawnmower - won't turn over [ 2 Answers ]

I have a craftsman riding lawnmower that I just had a new battery put in and it completely tuned up in May. I have used it about 3 times this summer to cut the lawn and now it won't turn over.
