    Ceiling fan hums
The only name on my fan is on the chain pull. It says hampton bay but they doesn't mean that is what it is. The model number is m52-5b/4L. I can't find it on the internet that verifies the mfg. I need a 5 wire capacitor that has the number on it ( cbb61 ). All the cc61 I find on the internet have 2 or 3 wires. Any help please. Thanks

Do the blades spin freely by hand?

    If so:

Call Hampton Bay and confirm that model number is theirs. Then order a replacement capacitor.
