    04 ford 6.o diesel.. jerks and chugs once and awhile
    04 f250 6.0 diesel.. once and awhile truck jerks and chugs as if it was starving for fuel.. only when little throttle is applied.. took 170 miles before first incedent.. 100 for the next.. just bought the truck.. it has 40k miles. What do you think it could be

    Likely, it's general maintenance related. Be sure to change both fuel filters every 15,000 miles and the air filter every 5,000 miles. I really recommend that you only use full-synthetic HDDO:

    Txgreasemonkey is right but if that does not fix it I would suggest checking all the filter gaskets and make sure lines to injectors and injection pump are tight they can suck air through a loose fitting and beleave it or not it won't leak fuel,it's weird. A lot of diesels are known for the fitting to vibrate loose.
