    original etchings by charlot
I have an original etching by Charlot which was given to me from my grandmother's estate. On the lower right hand corner in pencil is the word Charlot. On the lower left, La Saulaic. There is a marking above that in a triangle with theletters SZL. On the reverse side... of the professional framing it says. Original Etching by Charlot, titled Summer Afternooon. It says, "etchings carrying this lable are Genuine Original French Etchings imported from Paris... It siays it was made entirely by hand and no mechanical process was used. I am curious of the value. It was framed by Cohens in Washington, DC. Many thanks.

Have a look at this sticky: https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/art/pa...ad-155531.html

Some of the information is a little out of date, but it should help.

Original etching by Charlot [ 1 Answers ]

I have an original etching by Charlot with the handmade seal of SZL. The title is Mill on the Sambre River. Does anyone know what this drawing is worth? This is an original french etching imported from paris. The picture has a small cottage with a windmill in the backround.
