Go back to the dentist who did your braces and retainer and speak with him. The retainer was not worn long enough as you know. Your teeth will continue to shift around if not still trained to go into the proper position. Tell your parents as a new retainer is not cheap and they can rest assured that a new set of braces is not needed - just a new retainer.

Try your retainer in. It will feel snug but if you are able to wear it, it should help move the teeth back in to place. If that doesn't work, make an appointment with your orthodontist and have him/her check the retainer. He might be able to make some adjustments to it so you don't have to wear braces again. Normally, after braces are removed, the orthodontist will continue to see the client for up to 2 yrs and this should be included in the original fees charged.

Your teeth will always want to shift back to where they started after braces, that is why it is SO IMPORTANT to wear your retainer as instructed.

Last winter I noticed my Jacobsen Imperial 26 snow blower would stop moving forward occasionally. I ran it on...

My front teeth moved forward [ 1 Answers ]

Hi, I took of my braces about year and a half ago. I am still wearing my retainers. At first I would wear them everyday, but I would tend to forget putting them on after lunch at school. Right now, one of my front tooth is a bit "wonky". The tooth is more forward than the rest and slighty...

He needs a few days and is scared about moving forward? [ 5 Answers ]

Didn't see my previous post, so I am trying again. LONG story short... we have been dating over a year. He talked to me about eventually moving in to his newly rented house in the coming months, but I said I would like to have some kind of commitment before I did that... he agreed (in theory)....

 Should the bite line of the teeth on the lower denture be forward of the centerline of the gum 5 mm? Would it be better to have the lower teeth in line with the gum?
