My teeth are moving forward after the braises period
I had braises for 2 yrs and then I really was careless with my retainers and I stopped wearing it like a year ago now I realize that my teeth are really moving forward but are in shape (thank god) now what should I do, can retainers do the work cause new braises will cost $$$$ and parents will kill me

Go back to the dentist who did your braces and retainer and speak with him. The retainer was not worn long enough as you know. Your teeth will continue to shift around if not still trained to go into the proper position. Tell your parents as a new retainer is not cheap and they can rest assured that a new set of braces is not needed - just a new retainer.

Try your retainer in. It will feel snug but if you are able to wear it, it should help move the teeth back in to place. If that doesn't work, make an appointment with your orthodontist and have him/her check the retainer. He might be able to make some adjustments to it so you don't have to wear braces again. Normally, after braces are removed, the orthodontist will continue to see the client for up to 2 yrs and this should be included in the original fees charged.

Your teeth will always want to shift back to where they started after braces, that is why it is SO IMPORTANT to wear your retainer as instructed.
