My boyfriend and I have been trying to get pregnant for over a year. I recently had surgery in oct 2009 to drain an ovarian cyst. It was at this time I was diagnosed with stage 3 endo. I have been having a lot of problems with my periods since my surgery and I was told they did a d and c. Since then my normal seven day heavy periods have been very light only lasting 3-4 days. Also I have been having a lot of weird pregnancy type symptoms. When I went to the ER for pelvic pain nov 24 they did a doppler ultrasound which I thought they only did that if your were pregnant? I overheard a doc talking about my cyst and then saying something about 12 weeks? More recently I went to the gyn and she did a vaginal ultrasound then showed me some pictures saying my ovarian cyst was gone.I am just really confused since my last period I am having all those cramping in my back and thighs and abs. Also I seemed to be losing my waist? My family doc prescribed Darvacet for my pain but only 10 pills per month and told me not to use them everday. I don't know if I have pseudocyesis false pregnancy? Or if maybe I am pregnant and just in complete denial over it? Maybe all this pain is just from the endo- I feel like I am totally just nuts! Hpts at home were negative but I do not know why I feel like this.

I love your name, it just sums up everything you have told us ! They do ultrasounds for cysts too, and yes, the endo is a little painful. Don't know about the false pregnancy, the home tests will drive you crazy, godzilla, so lay off them and calm down. You have been through a lot so just chill a while and get your head together my dear. Get a good sleep. I hope your b/f is supportive so you can get rest.

So you are actually bipolar ? That would make a big difference too.

Edit: on second thought,and I won't offer you a website because you have to get busy reading about your condition to understand what is happening. To be informed is a good thing then you can make informed decisions. Look up 'endometriosis' on Google.

I picked that username because my kitty is named godzilla. I just wished I knew what was wrong. I have been cramping for 8 days I had what I thought was a short and lite period that only lasted from Thursday until Sunday. Instead of going from lite to heavy to lite it stayed lite the whole time. Now I am having these weird cramps in my back and thighs- I never have cramped there before. I am quite overweight 5"4 I was 205 when they did the surgery and now I am almost 215. I am constantly hungry lately-i really don't get this because I thought our chances of getting pregnant are near to zill. Ugh.

Can you go back to your doctor?

That's what I'd be doing and talking about all the things you're feeling. If you've put on weight, that's where your waist will have gone, but it's important to speak to your doctor and make sure that you explain all the symptoms. At least then you'll have a better sense about what's going on.

Perhaps put getting pregnant on hold until you feel better?

Perhaps the hormones zooming around your body and the stress are getting to you. It's pretty normal. Especial us girlie who are cursed with a monthly visit or mohtly management or a pill. (BTW: I don't trust those 4 periods a year pills)

My sister recently had her third child in a 5 year span of getting pregnant poping the kid out thengetting pregnant again within a year in a half again. Her hormones are pretty crazy and she is a total female dog about ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. I have a feeling that those surgeries and meds are messing with your hormones are driving you nuts. So rest asure that you are not bipolar just hormonal.

Oh thanks ruby but I am definitely bipolar had my first mania in 1992 at the ripe ol age of 18. You could definitely be right about my hormones being out of whack- I was diagnosed like a year and a half ago with a small pituary microandenoma-they did determine it was non functioning but who is to say? Eventually I am sure my primary doc may order another mri. It is just hard to accept you may never be able to have kids like other people...
