Live in NJ, work in NY. Forgot to file NY nonresident form for taxes! What to do?
Just used H&R Block online to file federal and NJ state taxes again this year, but I completely forgot that I was to file the NY non-resident tax forms first and then NJ. Filings already sent out for processing. What do I do now?

File NY tax return and pay the tax due. No choice.

File NJ amended tax return. Also claim credit for taxes paid to NY. Attach NY tax return. Claim the refund. Your U.S. Tax Return: Working or Living in Two or More states
