Problem with water temp. in shower
Hi, I have separate hot and cold faucets in my shower. I know there is plenty of hot water in other faucets around the house, but in the shower with only the hot faucet open, the water is only hot momentarily then gets cool. It will get luke warm then in about 8-10 minutes. Any idea how this can be fixed? Thanks

    Hi Jackbos...

I'm wondering what type of shower head you have in place... possible that it is an older style shower head and it is simply releasing too much hot water for your hot water system to keep up with the demand.

If this is the case, you may want to consider installing a new 2.5 g.p.m shower head. All new shower heads are regulated to 2.5 g.p.m. and nowadays they work quite well... :)

If that seems unlikely and you have a newer shower head than you will need to tell me what heats your water and if it is electric or gas and also be sure to tell me the capacity of the tank... O.K?
