How do I remove the temp control on hot water for a shower?
When I turn my shower on it will only go to so hot, actually just warm. I know there has to be a guard or something on it, but when I removed the face plate I could not see anything that could be turned or removed in order to get hotter water in my shower.

You should remove handle only. The temperature guard is right on the stem, behind the handle. Depending on what brand of faucet you have, it could be a notched plastic wheel or a small brass washer with single protrusion.
