    my brakes and steering got very stiff in my 2004 avalanche 4x4 what would be cause
    Can't steer or stop no fluid loss

    Those are 2 separate systems. The brakes can involve vacum. That would come directly from the engine. And steering usually comes from a belt that drives the power steering unit. Did it happen temporarily or is it still doing it ?

    Yes its still doing it there is no vacuum asissit power steering lines run to back of master cylinder

    If that's the case your PS pump pressure could be bad or you have a relief valve stuck in the system.
