After collecting me at the airport last night, my wife informed me that she turned the winshield wipers on and they didn't work. We drove home in the dark with everything else working fine.

Today, I checked all the fuses for continuity. They all checked OK. Then I started the car to make sure everything else was still OK. They're not. Now the following does not operate: A/C, power brakes, power steering, tach, turn signals. The interior/head/tail lights work just fine. I assume the transmission remains locked in park because when I step on the brakes, I get nothing but squish, then resistance and I cannot budge the shift lever. The radio display which was repaired by Honda several months ago under the 04-027 service bulletin does display and the radio plays. The battery eye still glows green and the acid/water level is fine. The car has 44,000 miles on it.

Might these cars have large circuit breakers that trip, then don't reset?

I was going to call the Dealer on Monday and pursue this.

Yes, there are some very large amperage fuses that control several things. These are under the hood. And most are checked by visual inspection. The don't look like common fuses, they are larger and viewed from the top through a small "window." See if any are obviously opened (may have a burnt look, though may not)

For the shifter, there is a release in the console for events such as this. The release is usually covered by a small plug (near the front of the console). Pop the plug out with a small screwdriver and you'll be able access the release and then move the shifter.

. Turn ignition switch to Position II and, using a test light or multimeter, test all under-hood and under-dash fuses. Test each test point on each fuse for power.
    . Check for codes.
