If you go to
index and you can look up the mower and get the Dayco number. With he Dayco number, you can go to a NAPA store and get a belt.
What I think I'd like you to do is move all of the parts by hand that the belt would move to feel the friction in the parts.
Replace the belt and run the mower for about 10 minutes.
Take the belt off and move all of the same parts. Bet, there is friction that happens when something warms up.
I just had this happen to a snow blower. It's going to be a pain to fix. Lack of lubercation on a shaft and no operators manual. The thing is like 40 years old.
