When landlord accepts money from another
We have a lease but want out due to bad conditions. Is there a new Missouri law that gets us out of the lease IF leasor accepted money from a third party two consecutive months for rent while they were working out a new lease, that implies he was letting us out of our lease with him?

I'm not sure I understand the question. My aunt has had to step in and pay my cousins rent more than once. It never had any effect on my cousin's lease terms that it was her money paying the rent rather than his. Did your landlord say anything to you to make you think they were OK with you ending your lease? (even if he says anything, you should also get it in writing) and what are "bad" conditions? |
