    Washing machines
Hi. Thanks for reading. I have an older Kenmore 110.82441800 Belt driven washing machine. The machine functions properly, EXCEPT for the spin cycle. The machine agitates and pumps correctly, but spins only intermittantly, if at all. I bypassed the lid switch and tested both solinoids on the wig-wag for continuity. The agitate solinoid has proper ohms reading between 200-800 ohms. However, the spin solinoid does not read at all, over ALL ranges on the multimeter. I assume then that this circuit is "open" and I have a bad spin solinoid or "control magnet". In addition, I reversed the red and yellow wires and the machine properly agitates... when I set the timer to spin... but will NOT spin when I set to agitate...

It is safe to assume that I have a bad wig-wag? Please advise, as I want to be as certain as possible before I spent 30.00 at Sears parts direct for the control magnet... Also, does the new control magnet come with both solonoids? As, Sears Parts Direct does not have an image of the wig-wag... Is the wig-wag relatively easy to install as well... Any comment would be appreciated... thank you.
