    Valentines day disaster
My boyfriend likes to smoke his pipe. He doesn't use it religiously, but maybe one or twice every two weeks, just to relax, and I asked him the other day when he used it last, just because I was wondering, and he said he wasn't going to use it anymore because he wants to be healthier.. The problem is.. I got him the pipe he has always wanted for valentines day.. I shelled 100 out for it.. and now that he doesn't want to smoke pipe anymore, I'm not quite sure what to do.. I can't return it..

Well here's the way I would look at it: health trumps all. His quest to be healthier should be encouraged. Try selling the pipe on eBay or Kijiji. You may have to take a little loss of the sale but it worth it in the end. Also there is no sense if letting him know that you spent money on this, it's not his fault that this situation happened.

See that is what I was thinking.. I was just wondering as well, if maybe he would want to keep it as like a collectible.. he's adored this pipe for years. I appreciate your answer.

I think you are throwing temptation at him. I second selling it and not mentioning it to him.

Consider the $100.00 an investment in his health.

    I wouldn't even mention it.
