    Attic pipes dripping
I keep hearing drips coming from the ceiling every time I turn on my shower, my sink, or my bathtub. These drips are being heard from the master bedroom ceiling. There is also a water spot in the ceiling about 1 sq foot. I have noticed this spot for about three years. The spot use to be small about an inch and now it is getting bigger and bigger. Whenever it rains hard, water also drips in this area. When I run water in my kitchen sink downstairs, I also hear a drop of water while that water is running but it is heard downstairs in the kitchen area. I also hear drips down stairs in my laundry room when I run my shower which is upstairs over my laundry. Whenever we flush the toilets, I can hear the water in the pipes going down rather slow and one day I flushed the toilet and the water came up to the top of the rim. When I plunged it, the water backed up into the bathtub. I'm not sure what is going on. My husband died 18 months ago in an accident and this house is 6 years old and I am up to my head trying to figure out what is going on. I'm afraid to call a plumber because I don't want to be taken advantage of. What can you tell me?
