    1944 copper penny
    Howdy-I have a 1944 copper wheatback penny, great condition, perfectly readable and see-able.

    Any considerable value?

    It's worth about 10 cents.

    Now, had this been a steel wheat penny from 1943 it would be worth considerably more as these were struck during WWII and are very rare now to even find.

    What is a mint mark? Do I need a magnifying glass? On the rim above "ONE CENT" on the back it says 'E PLURPBUS UNUM' Not sure if that's any help, but anyway!

    Coiner106 - The mint mark is the letter right below the dateonface side ;;there will be [no mint mark] or a ( D )for DENVERco;;}{ or there will be a ( S ) for -SAN FRANISCO} THE MINT MARKis about the 4 oclock position with face up Hope this helps ::have a great day and GOD BLESS::F.B.E.
