    Bryant 350mav igniter
I have a vintage Bryant 350 MAV that is temperamental. The gas will not ignite unless the igniter is in a perfect position. What is the "exact" igniter replacement part for this unit? BTW, all the items have been checked professionally, gas flow (in and out), gas pressure, air flow, air pressure, safety switches, etc. The only item that has made a difference is the angle and height of the igniter. Unfortunately, the replacement unit seems to be an after market replacement. Any ideas?

Unless the part comes in a Bryant/Carrier parts box or container and is marked the same as the container it is just about impossible to make sure you are getting a factory part. I can tell you that there are major differences between after market circuit boards from different companys but not about the differences between ignitors.

The exact location for the ignitor is in the manufactures service manual for that furnace but the factory service manuals are not published for general consumption or available on the net as far as I know. The homeowner operating manual and some parts manuals are available but no real service manuals.
