    I just purchased a hunter thermostat, model 44110. I only have two wires, a white and
    I just purchased a hunter programmable thermostat, model 44110. I only have two wires, a white and a red from the old mercury thermostat. Where do these tow wires hook up? I tried the red with the w, and the white with the RC, leaving the jumper that was factory placed between the RH and RC. I tried reversing them and nothing seems to work. Can you please help me? I only have the heat which is hot water and don't have an AC of any type.

    I hope you pulled the plug,killed the power,flipped the breaker before messing with tstat wires,, it shold probably have been red on RC and white on w,, the first time,, hope you didn`t fry the transformer,, but then again when you bought a hunter,1st mistake,, it is prob. Junk,if not it soon will be
