My older t state I'm trying to replace has 3 14 gauge wires
I'm trying to replace my old thermostate that had 120v wire connected to it. It has a hot to R terminal, a hot to a C terminal and a 30v to the B terminal. I'm trying to replace it with a honeywell rlv430 thermostate. Please help. I'm living in a condo and I believe it uses a chiller. Above my ceiling there is two hot water pipes going to the unit itself.

What is the exact brand and model number of the old thermostat. You have a combined system style thermostat and kind of rare.

Joining 2 different gauge wires [ 3 Answers ]

I knocked down part of a wall and as a result need to move some outlet wires. I found a good and legal place to put a junction box but the existing wires are stamped 16amp (35yr old house),(I assume that means about a 14ga) and I have 20ga (romex 12/2)---the circuit has a 20amp breaker. Can I join...

Connecting 14 gauge wire and 12 gauge wires in the same blue box. [ 2 Answers ]

I am wiring my basement. All the outlets are running off 2 independent 20 amp circuit breakers connected to each other by 12/2 wire. I wanted to run some stubs off my 12/2 outlets. All each stub would do is run to a small light (max 180 watts) and of course a light switch. Since I ran out...
