How to replace bearings in dryer motor
I have a kenmore gas large capascity. It is making a squeaking noise. I traced the problem to the motor. Does the motor have bearings that can be replaced or should I buy a new motor or a new dryer. This one is 16yrs old. Thanks

Hi, My dryer is making a horrible squeaking noise (GE DPSR473EWOWW), so I am guessing it is the rear drum bearings. I ordered the kit, and now I am wondering how you get into the dryer to replace them. Thank You!
I have read on this site how to remove the dryer drum to replace the bearing. After taking the front off the dryer I realize that the drum is actually leaning against the inside of the dryer. My sqeaking noise could be a result of this while it is spinning (rubbing against the inside of the dryer)....
