    Sewage gas smell in bathroom
I live in the north country of NYS and every winter my vents on my roof freeze and I have to get someone to get on my roof and pour hot water down them which help until we get freezen cold again. So last year I put a water elec wire tape around one of them to see if that would work, when I got the smell I put it on but only for a short time, didn't know if it would cause a fire. It did work a little. This year I extended the vent about the point of the house and put on a angle rotating vent (like they use on a RV) figuring that the vapor would come out instead of freezing and falling back into the vent blocking hole. Getting freezing weather now and guess what! That didn't work. Now what do I do?

Our master bathroom has a strong sewage smell. The bathroom is located on the second floor, and the house is 8 yrs. Old. Our two other bathrooms have no such smell. Thorough cleaning of the toilet, candle-burning, and turning on ventilation, doesn't help. We've lived in the house for about two...
