When is a inducer motor on a carrier 48GS due for replacing
I replaced the heat exchanger on our carrier 48GS propane furnace last year.It was clogged with sooty debris. It worked fine till recently. The fan continues running but no heat.I noticed sooty build up around control panel,as well as Aldehyde odors. My question is:Can the inducer motor be the cause?

If you have a soot problem I would call for service from a on site HVAC company. Soot is never acceptable and something is not operating or adjusted properly.
