What happens if my ex refuses to pay a cfi?
Ok, My ex and I have been going through custody for about a year now for our daughter. We finally got our temporary orders done with child support, I have custody, and he needs to pay downpayment on a CFI. Turns out his attorney did not originally tell him how much it was going to cost until he signed papers supposedly. Now, he doesn't want to pay a CFI even though it is court ordered. He wants me to have full custody, and pay his child support. Is there a way for him to get the CFI changed? Will a court do that after paperwork is already signed? How does this work? I know he has a long alcohol history with DUI's and Abuse.

Who requested a CFI and what were their grounds for requesting it? Was it court-ordered?

I would assume that if you came to a settlement outside of court, the CFI wouldn't be necessary.
