    Should I pay my lawyer?
This is immigration case, I was under deportation because my political asylum was denied 2 times, and my I-130 ( married to us citizen ) is proved already, I hired an attorney to challenge my case with the sixth circuit court and I agreed to pay $15,000 , $4500 before we start then $300 every month the attorney said my case will take about 3 years to be done with, and this is the written agreement word by word, this latter to formalize our fee agreement. My fee for challenging the July decision of the board of immigration appeals by filing a petition for review with the sixth circuit court of appeals, filing an application for stay of removal, filing a motion to reopen and representing you before the board of immigration appeals and in immigration court if your case is remanded will be 15,000. This agreement covers services through a final decision on your adjustment of status application in immigration court.
NOW my case was did not make it to the sixth circuit court, the asylum was terminated and the I-485 ( adjustment of status ) was approved, and it took only 1 year, not 3 years, now I paid $8000 so far, what should I do, should I pay him? Should not? I feel I should not because my case did not make it to the sixth circuit court, I just want to be fair to the attorney and I do not want to pay him if I don't have too, please any advise would help and thanks for taking the time to read.

Jaker, I said the I-485 was proved means I'm a US permanent resident, so I won the case.

Read the agreement again... word by word. The agreement between you and your attorney does not guarantee your petition will be approved. Final decision was not his/hers.

Try not paying and see how fast you will be sued for unpaid fee...
