I'm replacing a double bowl 8 " deep stainless kitchen sink with single bowl fireclay 10 " deep under mount sink with sink drain offset to the right. Drain pipe into the wall is centered on the sink, the sink drain is 16" from the wall. Plan to use PVC. Can I exit the 3" deep sink drain with a 45 degree "J" pipe to the left, couple to a second "J" pipe into a P- trap connected to a drain wall tube? Can one "J" pipe be connected to another "J" pipe with a slip joint adapter?

"J" pipe? You mean "P" trap. I does look like a "j" when it's connected.

You can use 45 degree wye, or 22.5 degree wye if you have to run at an angle. Don't try to use two "p" traps together.

You can go over then down to the existing p trap location then into the vertical pipe. There is more than one way to do this, You can also go from the drain to a "p" trap then over to the vertical connection in the wall, if it's not too low - that could be an option.

You don't have an "S" trap do you?
