    Replacing a 3 speed ceiling fan switch
    I'm trying to replace a 3 speed ceiling fan switch. I thought I removed and replaced all wires correctly but obviously not. The colors are green,gray,black, and brown. Positions on the switch are 1,2,3 and L.

    You probably have the right wiring and the wrong replacement switch. See:
