    Davey booster pumps
I have a davey pressure/distribution pump that is about four years old and is driving me crazy. It will often stop pumping and if you turn off the power and turn it back on it works fine for perhaps a day or two and then the same thing happen again. I checked the little tank on top of the pump and added some air until it read 38 lb. It seemed better for a few days but now the same problem is back. The pump always goes on if I swithch off the power and switch it right back on. Any ideas? Oh my pump is a 1 hp #0531-020 set at 40 psi according to the paperwork.
    Thanks much, Bob

Sono, my first move would be to call the manufacturer. It sounds like the pump might be overheating and tripping a thermal protection switch.
