The pilot light on our State Censible gas water heater will not stay lit... it is not the thermacouple and it is protected from drafts. We light it daily... we get enough hot water for about 2 showers and a load of dishes. What could be causing this problem?

The older sears furnace here, has a pilot light that lights But goes out, as soon as the pressure on the pilot button is released. Now two times it did stay lit and then soon went out. If the orifice needs cleaning are there diagrams of where that is or how to do that? Thanks

OK. Every time I light the pilot it will saty on for a few minutes and goes off. I talked to a friend and he said it could be the thermocooper or something like that but wasn't sure also. Just wandering if you guys might have an idea or agree with him. View more questions Search
