Pilot on tranes heater not staying lit
We have just changed out the thermal coupler on our heater and it will not stay lit. Our heater didn't work last year and it wasn't a problem but I just had a baby so we really need to get it fixed. Once we light the pilot it goes out. Can anyone help us with this problem? Its starting to get cold here in Louisiana so we need to get it fixed as soon as possible

Is the bulb on end of the thermalcoupler close/very close/in the flame of the pilot lite?
Make sure it is ,and when you light the pilot be sure to hold down the button on gas valve for at least a minute or more before letting go and turning to on position

    Let us know,, goodluck

Look closely where the thermocouple connects to the gas control - are there wires leaving? If so, check the thermal fuse connected to them. If it is open, there is a draft/overheating problem.
