Yes, she is a baby, mine turned 2 so at that age you can be proactive on "being a big girl" you can't really make her "feel" like a big girl because she won't really understand what is going on. She will figure out that she is bigger then the new baby of course but still needs you just as much as the new baby.
Your hands are full, I had it much easier having a 2 year old because I potty trained, she dresses herself, she talks, walks, plays with toys independently but even at 2... still a baby. I don't think you will have too many issues on adjustment since she is so little but playing those fun games and reading big sister books help!
