    Hello SK:

You are married, and that makes you one legal unit. He can bind you, and you can bind him.

The "Fair Debt Collection Practices Act" protects you against unscrupulous collectors, and you can stop them cold in their tracks. The only option they'll have is to sue you, which they might do. If you tried to cancel, and they wouldn't let you, then let them sue you and tell the judge.

Write them a letter, sent certified return receipt requested. Tell them NOT to contact you or your husband ever again. Tell them that if they wrongly damage your credit rating, you'll sue them.

Or, offer them some money to go away.

You should offer to pay for any issues received prior to your notification of cancellation. But that is ALL you owe. Anytone telling you can't cancel a magazine subscription is lying.
