Tire is flat, now what do I do?
I feel like such a dummy on this one. I was driving home and got a flat. I was about a 1/2 mile from home and so I drove it back (I've heard that was a bad idea, but I didn't know it at the time).

So, here's the question, do I call a tow truck and take it to the Tire Store? Or does the Tire place have a service where they come out and change it?

I have a spare and absolutely no clue what to do with it.

I'm such a girl. This is pitiful

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks.

OK. You can try to change it yourself or call a friend. OR... you can find a video

YouTube - Changing a Tire: Hot Chick Teaches You How

There's a few comments about the video and your situation.

    1. Your owner;s manual should have a section about changing tires.

    2. Not all wheel covers work like in the video.

    3. Getting the tire off. Yes it's important that the car is not jacked up when loosening the lug nuts. You may have to use your foot or even stand on the lug wrench. Usually it's lefty loosy, right tighty. Turn left (counterclockwise) to loosen.

    4. When you remove the tire, you may have to jack it up more to put on the spare.

    5. what's missing is after you change the tire and lower the car try to tighten the lug nuts in a cross pattern.

You will probably have to replace the tire.
