Florida law on tenant rent out space.
If a tenant rents out some of their space in their apartment, how do they get that person to move out?

    Hello r:

When you do that, you become a landlord, and your renter became a tenant. So, you have to evict them according the landlord/tenant law of your state. We have copies at the top of the real estate page on a sticky note...

However, in general, you must serve your tenant with a 30 notice to move. If he doesn't, then you go to your local courthouse and file an unlawful detainer (eviction) law suit. It'll cost, maybe a $100 to file it and get him served. Then you go to court, and the judge orders an eviction. If he doesn't go, you get the sheriff to put him out.

Get the details from YOUR state law.
