    Honeywell rth230B thermostat installation
I just purchased this thermostat. My old one had 5 wires. White - W green - G yellow - Y red - Rh and Blue C. I put the wires in as labeled and did nothing with the blue. I do not have a furnace, I have an air handler that runs both the air and heat. The handler was the only thing running prior to me trying to replace it. ( now nothing) I live in Fl and very HOT in here. I am a single mom trying to self sufficient.
Someone told me it had to be level. The batteries are new. Everything shows up on screen, but nothing turns on. How far in do the wires need to be? Do they need to be touching the prongs that fit in when closed.
