    Craftsman won't start
    I have a sears tractor engine that clicks but will not start, the battery has 13.75 volts, battery connections are clean, changed out the starter and solenoid, fuse is good however nothing it is still clicking. I tried to jump across the large solenoid terminals, nothing, any ideas?

    It sounds like you might have a bad ground. Try taking a set of jumper cable and hooking one negative end to your (-) negative side of the battery and the other negative end to the motor block somewhere. If the mower starts then you need to trace your ground wire to check it's connections. If they are good then maybe the motor mounting bolts are loose.

    Hi,
    I separated these from that year-old post.
    I would say that you have already received good advice; I will add that the engine mount bolts may be loose causing a bad ground.
