Hello. What's the best way to install corner beads for drywall jobs? I'm seeing more people prefer nails. If I am going to use nails, which type should I get and what length? I installed half inch drywall. Thanks.

Drywall nails (1 3/8") nailed opposite one another about ever 2'.

Screws won't countersink.

I would feel better answering your question if you could first answer three of mine; as follows.

1.) What kind of results are you looking for? Here r 2 scenarios: A] I want a contemporary product (mediocre); typical of new home construction. B] This is a feature (show case) room that I want to be reasonably close to perfect (practical) and I’m finishing the walls with semi-gloss paint.

2.) How close are the joining surfaces to want you want to achieve? Here r 2 scenarios: A] One wall is straight but the other wall is warped ½” where the surfaces meet and that wall’s surface is irregular. B] The walls are drywalled up to the where they meet, I didn’t notice whether they are straight or irregular, I don’t think that anybody else will notice, and thus I don’t care about this.

3.) How durable do you want the corner to be? Here r 2 scenarios: A] This is a hi-traffic area and I’m going to be here awhile; I want the corners to be durable. B] I’m selling the house so I just want it to look good for the showings.

If u have a lot of corner bead to install, rent a bead installing machine. It also squares up bead. Crimps edge, no nails needed.
