    Air in Lines
    I just installed a new shower faucet on the 2nd floor. I then lost hot water to the sink faucet and am having trouble with getting any hot or cold water out of new faucet. I also ran new hot and cold lines. I think there is air in lines and am wondering the best way to let out air. Thanks! I went back and played with faucet again and I think it may be the faucet itself. It is a Cadet 1675 ( American Standard). When I take off the handle and the 3 screws, it seems that some of the pressure is restored. Then I reassemble and I lose pressure again! Thanks!

    If were air in your lines all you would have to do, since air raises to the top , is to open a faucet at the highest point and bleed it off. It's not air that's giving you grief, it's the crud built up in the pipe walls that you dislodged when you worked on them. The solution to your problem would be to take the faucet apart and check and clean the inlet ports in the cartridge. Before you reassemble the faucet, and while it's still open, turn the water back on for a moment to flush out the supplies. Good luck, Tom

    Faucet working now but hot to sink isn't!
    Thank You!! I cleaned it out and the pressure to the tub faucet is great! I was just getting ready to return the faucet before you emailed me. One more problem if you have any ideas. The tub faucet is good now. The cold water to sink in same room is good. But the hot to sink is getting nothing! It worked for years before I changed over tub lines and faucet. Could the hot line also be clogged from the work I did, and if so, any ideas on how to get pressure back? Thanks!

    Yep! The same thing has happened again. Crud in the line got sucked up in the lavatory faucet and now you have to do the same thing to that faucet that you did to the tub. Don't forget to flush the supplies. Good luck, Tom

    Turn the hot water on and feel with your hand to see it warm ( if u can touch or find a way to feel it ) it it warm considerething wrong with your faucet outlet. I hope this help.
