I am replacing my old thermostat, the wiring is as follows:

    Green wire > g terminal
    Blue wire > y terminal
    White wire > w terminal
    Red wire > r terminal

There is a jumper between the r's as well

I am replacing this with a white-rodgers 1F85-0471.. which I can not contact on Saturday.. thought might get some help here

Should I use the same terminals on the white rodgers? The wiring diagram in the installation instructions are very vague. Appreciate any help.

Use the same color wires on the same lettered terminals on the WR stat.

The only strange one is the blue on the Y terminal so I guess they just used the blue instead of the yellow color.

Thank you. Yes it seems odd but there is no yellow wire in the 4 wire harness. Blue is connected to Y on the board in the exchange unit as well.
