    Early signs?
    I have been having regular heavy periods for the last 8 months, (I am 26) due to PCOS was irregular before but have lost lots of weight. Two months ago I started the pill to see if the periods would be less painful and lighter.

    I had about 4 days of light bleeding at the end of July and would be due a period around the 20th August. I did miss a pill but took two together like mine advises you to in the booklet if you forget.

    Well my period was surprisingly light and for over a week I have had very tender breasts that feel heavier and harder (never had a problem at totm before but then could be the pill?) I have been exhausted, about two weeks ago it was worse I was sleeping after work for a few hours.

    Well I did a HPT on Fri night and then Sat morn and they were both negative. I am so confused, do I have to wait until after the 20th to see if I have a period and then retest?

    Boobs are still sore and all these signs could be other things!

    The 20th is still a ways away, so a HPT should wait until at least the 18th if not later.

    When your period is due, take a HPT with FIRST MORNING urine. Its important to take it when you wake up in the morning because IF there is any hcg it will be concentrated and give you a more accurate result.
