    New kitty needs training?
Well I just got a new kitten about 2 weeks ago he's a boy and his name is joker.
He's still scared of every one but me. He's not as bad with my boyfriend. But my roommate he's terrified of. I don't know if its because he's so young he's about a month or so but is that how he should act or is there something I can do about it?
Something else I wanted to know about, when I pet him he purs and he likes his belly scartched but some times he bites me and I don't want him to grow up to be shy and mean. Is there something I can do about the biting and shyness?

Wow! How did he get taken away from his mother so soon? Kittens shouldn't leave their moms until they are at least 8, and better, about 10-12 weeks old.

Give him time to get used to all the new things in his life. If he nips or bites, hold still and don't jerk away or hit him. He will let go or you can calmly ease out of his grip. Kittens nip at their siblings as they play, so he's trying to get you to play. If you jerk away, he is sure you want to play and be nipped some more. Your holding still and being quiet stops the play. Thus, he won't develop a habit of trying to bite moving hands and fingers.
